Orange County Chamber of Commerce Celebrates the Best In Business at 2020 Snow Ball Gala

Steve Neuhaus, Bonura Hospitality Group and Newburgh Armory Unity Center Honored for Their Significant Contributions in the Community

GOSHEN, NY — Monday, January 27, 2020 – The Orange County Chamber of Commerce honored several local leaders at the chamber’s annual Snow Ball on Saturday at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

A sold out crowd gathered together to honor the best in Orange County business during an evening of dinner, dancing, networking and more. The 2020 honorees included Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, who won the chamber’s person of the year award, Bonura Hospitality Group, which won Business of the Year, and the Newburgh Armory Unity Center, which won Nonprofit of the Year.

The Person of the Year award is presented to an Orange County Chamber of Commerce Member that has gone above and beyond the call of duty to support the business community and improve the economic strength and diversity of Orange County. “Under his leadership, the business community and economic development initiatives have both flourished,” says Lynn Allen Cione, President & CEO of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce. “County Executive Neuhaus works tirelessly to promote our County with new an innovative initiatives that keep us on the cutting edge of business.”

Bonura Hospitality Group is being honored as a successful, second-generation business that is a major employer and driver of economic development in Orange County and beyond. “For years, Bonura Hospitality Group venues have served as a backdrop to the business community,” shared Cione. “In addition to their overflowing kindness and generosity, Bonura Hospitality Group is leader in creating an expanded, diverse workforce and serves as an example for the rest of our business community.”

Newburgh Armory Unity Center is being honored for their tireless efforts in growing Orange County’s future business leaders. Through a multitude of free programs facilitated by groups of passionate volunteers, children are being exposed to countless career opportunities and being taught the core skills to ignite their passion to continue learning. “The Newburgh Armory Unity Center is a transformative space for children,” says Cione. “The access these children have to various career paths is unprecedented. Each week, hundreds of children are learning core skills in computer programing, nursing, engineering, acting, graphic design, criminal justice and more during the Saturday Morning Enrichment Program.”
