Renowned Chef Noah Sheetz + Five other Noted Hudson Valley Chefs Prepare the 8th Annual Chefs Farm Fresh Dinner on Bannerman’s Island, Saturday, September 8th!

Event Director, Chef Noah Sheetz and fellow members of the Hudson Valley Chefs Consortium return again to create a five-course gourmet meal using only locally sourced ingredients.   Attendees will enjoy a unique Farm Fresh Dinner experience while dining in the shadow of the beautiful ruins of Bannerman’s Castle.  Five noted Hudson Valley chefs will be working with Chef Sheetz to bring diners one of the most unique culinary experiences the Hudson Valley has to offer.  Other participating Chefs include; Talisha Solages, Michael Lapi, Lex Taylor, Rebecca Joyner and Chris Locke. Attendees will also enjoy the islands Summer Gardens at their peak and tour Bannerman Castle Trust’s new Visitor Center and Museum –  open now in the original Bannerman Family residence!

The Bannerman Castle Trust Inc. is pleased to present the Eighth Annual Chefs Farm Fresh Dinner – to take place on Bannerman’s Island on Saturday, September 8th.   Bannerman Island is located in the Hudson River, between Beacon and Cold Spring – just South of Newburgh and directly across from Cornwall on Hudson, NY.  This popular culinary event is now in its 8th year and continues to grow each year!  The Chefs Farm Fresh Dinner combines the best of Hudson Valley Cuisine with some of the most spectacular views of the Hudson River Highlands.  Live music will be performed by “The Lucky Luna Band” – making it a perfect “End of Summer” harvest celebration!

The Bannerman’s Island tour boat, the Estuary Steward will bring diners to the Island from the Beacon Institute Dock at the Beacon Waterfront (directly across from the Beacon Railroad station) for two different seating’s – the first at 3:00 pm and the second 4:15 pm.  Reservations and tickets can be purchased through the Bannerman Castle website at www.Bannermancastle.org.  Reservations can also be made by phone by calling 855-256-4007.  Proceeds from this dinner event will benefit the on-going restoration work on Bannerman’s Island – one of the most unique performance and dining venues in the Hudson Valley!

For more by information on this event and other Bannerman Island programs, please call BCT’s Executive Director, Neil Caplan, at 845-831-6346.  The Bannerman Castle Trust, Inc., in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, provides public tours of Bannerman’s Island from May – October.  There is a Metro North Train Package for the 1 day getaways!    Tours consist of guided walks on the island’s beautiful trails – with access either by passenger tour boat or as part of a guided kayak excursion. Tours depart from Beacon (by tour boat or kayak), Cold Spring (kayak) and from Cornwall-on-Hudson (kayak). Reservations are required for all tours. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested – there is a 72-step climb from the dock with rest stops along the way.  ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASES ARE REQUIRED!
