ORANGE COUNTY – Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and YWCA Orange County are pleased to announce that the nomination period is now open for the 2019 Orange County Tribute to Women of Achievement awards. For 27 years, the Tribute awards have recognized women in Orange County who have made a difference for local women and girls through their professional, personal, or school-based activities. There is also an award for an Outstanding Young Woman of the Future presented to a young woman age 16 to 21 who has already demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of life in her community.
Completed Tribute to Women of Achievement nomination forms are due to the Selection Committee for review by midnight Friday, November 30.

In all, more than 255 women from throughout Orange County have been recognized since the award’s inception in 1992. Honorees have hailed from a diverse range of professions and volunteer activities, including arts, business, health and human services, public service, military, and education. Strong candidates will exemplify the missions and ideals of the Girl Scouts and YWCA.
“The Tribute to Orange County Women of Achievement is Orange County’s premier event solely dedicated to recognizing the accomplishments of women and girls in Orange County. Highly accomplished women, from all walks of life, live, work, and volunteer in our community,” said Eileen Hickey, Director of Business Operations for Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson. “We want to learn more about them,” said Eileen. “We encourage people to nominate the women of achievement in their lives and help share their stories.”
